How to Engage:

The Engage HCD Mechanism is a contracting vehicle available to USAID’s Bureau for Global Health and Missions to incorporate HCD – a proven method often used in the private sector that anchors the design, development, and implementation of interventions around human needs – into USAID programs. We will be selective early on in the use of this mechanism to ensure that we are leveraging this new offering in an impactful  and sustainable way, while allowing us to best demonstrate and learn from its use in a variety of settings. We encourage proposals and look forward to working with you on evaluating potential applications of this work.

Objective

To help USAID’s Bureau for Global Health and Missions accelerate scale and impact through the appropriate application of HCD.

Services

Our flexible approach is well suited to help USAID:

Design programs around the needs of beneficiaries and other key stakeholders through qualitative research and rapid prototyping

Improve collaborations across diverse stakeholders through creative problem solving, participatory methods and systems thinking
